I have read good article about marketing, which is explain me about marketing for small business. In order to memorize and perform that knowledge, I wrote that in my blog.

The fundamental of marketing is service your prospects and your customers’ needs , build some plans which surround those needs, and execute those plans comprehensively.

Business is in good performance if it has excellent cash flow. In order to make outstanding cash flow, we must increase revenue growth. We can raise that growth in some ways. They are:

  • Get more customer, by performing excellent marketing.
  • Persuade customer to buy other product or service.
  • Up selling each customer.
  • Leverage our business.
But the most important thing that we must consider is point number 1. Why? Because by getting more buyer we can elevate our customer base and sure our revenue can grow increasingly.

Several samples ways to acquire more buyer are:

  • Through researching, then creating good marketing plan.
  • Make product catalogue and distribute among prospects.
  • Make a special program, for example lower price and good service can make people choose your product.
  • Develop your marketing material based on solution marketing.
Small businesses sometimes have a limited marketing budget. Does it mean we can not run with good marketing? Absolutely not. Thing that must be performed is we have to be creative. I can give you examples. Nowadays, there are a lot of free media or publicity, why do we not publish our advertisement there? Another example is calling your principal or vendor and asking him to participate with you in co-op advertising.

There is one thing that must be remembered. When we spend money on marketing, we have to make measurement to track those marketing effort whether our action succeeds or not. 

The simple thing we can do is asking prospects where they heard about us. By doing this, if our current way stops working, we can speedily replace it with another one.

For small business, we can try to make database of prospects then contact ten customers daily. We will see our business grow increasingly.
