Below are the points of Facebook ads placement


- A placement in the terms of Facebook ads is where your ad appears.

- Your ad can be placed in several different places, but thing to note that not every placement will be available for every ad objective.

For example :
Get more leads objective is only available for mobile feed placement.


- Placement types:


Ad placement location in Fb ads are :

1. Facebook News Feed (mobile)

This type of placement means your ads appear in the mobile news feed for people using the Facebook app on mobile or accessing Facebook website through a mobile browser.


2.  Facebook News Feed (desktop)

Your ads is displayed in the desktop for people accessing the Facebook website on their computers.


3. Facebook right column (desktop)

Your ads appear in the right column on Facebook on a computer.


4. Instagram feed

Your ads can be seen by people who access the instagram website on the computer/laptop and people who use instagram app on mobile devices or browse instagram website through mobile browser.


5. Instagram stories

Your ads will appear to people browsing stories on instagram.


6. Messenger inbox

The ads will appear in the home tab of messenger.



- If you are not sure to choose the placement, just turn on the automatic placement.

If you turn it on,  FB ads system is able to optimise ad placement and choose the best placement for you.

But you can switch it to  off to unselect any placement where you don't want your ad to appear.
